What Does This Patch Do?The Improved Uncensor Patch is a patch for Mirror Moon's English translation of Fate/Stay Night for the PC.
It replaces all the mosaic-censored ero (ie, adult) images in the game with uncensored versions (though gallery thumbnails remain censored).
FAQQ: Will this patch screw up other Fate/Stay Night mods/patches?
A: This patch is compatible with other patches or mods for Fate/Stay Night, provided the other patches don't in some way alter or remove the ero scenes. Your saved games and in-game progress will be unaffected by this patch.
Q: How do I remove the patch?
A: Just delete the .xp3 file you added. Assuming you didn't add any patches after this one, it'll be the last file named 'patch' in the series.
Q: Isn't there already an uncensor patch?
A: Yes, there is an uncensor patch by anonymous, but in all honesty some of the images are low quality and in some cases anatomically... implausible. These ones are in my opinion much, much better.
Q: Some of the uncensors don't match what I think they should look like based on the original image,,,
A: In some of the images, the mosaic censorship hints at certain things that aren't present in the uncensored image (eg, a hand, or pubic hair, or something similar). Any such changes have been intentional, either for the sake of consistency, anatomy or simply aesthetics, and were compared to more 'accurate' versions before being accepted. Q: Why even bother making this patch?
A: I really like Fate/Stay Night, but hate how the mosaic censorship detracts from artwork. I personally have no objections to having nicely illustrated erotic scenes in the game, but I do really dislike the way the censorship splashes giant coloured squares over the otherwise attractive pictures.
